Questions
What does “lifetime” mean?
You pay once and the licence never expires. Every update to that app’s current major version is included, and your key keeps working offline forever — there is no server it has to check in with.
How many Macs can I use it on?
All of your own Macs. The licence is personal: use it at home and at work, on your laptop and your desktop.
Do I need an account?
No. You get your key by email the moment you pay. If you lose it, enter your email under “Find my keys” and we’ll send a sign-in link — no password, ever.
Which AI do the apps use?
Yours. The AI features run through Claude Code or ChatGPT (codex) on the subscription you already have. We never see your documents, and we don’t mark up tokens.
Where are my files?
On your Mac, as plain files — .excalidraw, .md, SQLite. No cloud account, no lock-in. Sync them with iCloud Drive or Dropbox if you like.
What is MCP?
Model Context Protocol — the way AI agents talk to apps. Every h5bits app runs a small local MCP server, so an agent can draw, write, file or calculate in it with you.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If an app isn’t for you, write to hello@h5bits.com within 14 days of buying and we refund you in full. No forms.
Mac App Store?
No — we sell directly, so the apps can use the tools that make them good (AI agent CLIs, local servers) and you pay once instead of renting.
